Today, Send the Prayers Out…a Group Meditation

I can’t be still tonight.  I close my eyes and I imagine the madness and the mourning in Haiti.  I open my heart and I can feel the pain. 

I will admit that a part of me chose to escape for a while. I sent prayers out to all but I did it with the knowledge of the devastation without seeing the devastation on televison.  I listened instead, but today, I heard the facts, I heard of the loss…and it is just as vivid as a result.  I can’t shake the goosebumps on my skin…I’m sad…there is too much sadness in the world…everyday…

Please, let’s just take a moment and send love and healing to the people of  Haiti, a culture that is rich and passionate and diverse.  Let us pray that the very essence of the people burns stronger in light of this massive change in their lives.  Let’s pray for hope and faith that all will be as it should, in spite of the fact that right now appears to be a contradiction of what is good and just and right…

Pray for them, pray for us, pray…just pray…
